On December 11th First Baptist Church Knoxville will hold its 6th annual Christmas Brunch in Trentham Hall.

Centered on helping low income and homeless families in the area, the brunch provides a hearty breakfast that includes large homemade biscuits, sausage, bacon, sawmill gravy, scrambled eggs, juice, and other tasty items.

Upon entering the church for the Christmas Brunch, attendees have an opportunity to have their portraits made at no cost. Area school choirs perform Christmas music during the brunch, making it a very festive event.

Over 200 volunteers are on hand to help make the event run smoothly.

Each year First Baptist provides free gifts for everyone who attends the brunch. This year they will be offering laundry baskets filled with detergent for adult and for the children there will be stockings filled with nail polish, barrettes, match box cars, crayons, coloring books, stickers, markers, pencils, hair brushes, small children's books and Play-Doh. Also offered will be hygiene kits for the homeless to include items like soap, small bottles of shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, combs, and deodorant. Free socks for both children and adults will be offered.

If you would like to do a little shopping for a good cause and donate any of these items to the church their address is: First Baptist Church Knoxville, 510 W. Main Street, Knoxville, TN 37902
